Belinda has experience in Federal Court litigation involving nearly all areas of intellectual property. In particular, Belinda has been extensively involved in Federal Court proceedings relating to claims for infringement of copyright, plant breeder’s rights, patents and registered trade marks. Belinda has also had
experience in litigious matters involving breach of confidence and contractual disputes.
Belinda is also a registered Trade Mark Attorney and has been involved in oppositions to trade marks applications and appeals to the Federal Court from decisions of the Trade Marks Office. Belinda has had experience with a diverse range of trade marks including, in particular, shape trade marks.
Belinda also has experience in commercial intellectual property matters, particularly those involving plant breeder’s rights.

Belinda has a background in science, having majored in chemistry and completed an Honours degree in
biological science. Belinda was involved in the tuition of second and third year science undergraduates in
the studies of biochemistry, genetics and human genetics. Upon completion of her Honours year, she
presented the results of her project at the Australian Health and Medical Research Conference in Sydney.
Belinda is currently completing a Master of Laws in Intellectual Property at Monash University.
