Description:

Justin co-founded and was a chief investigator of The Centre of Excellence for Ultrahigh Bandwidth Devices
for Optical Systems at The University of Sydney. Prior to this, he was a project leader at The University of
Sydney’s Optical Fibre Technology Centre. Justin has reviewed papers for international technical publications such as IEEE Photonics Technology Letters, and has been a member of technical committees for the Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics (CLEO).
He was awarded a PhD in lasers and their applications with a Dean’s Commendation, and received eight notable academic prizes and awards at graduate and postgraduate levels, a BSc with first class honours in
physics, and a Master of Intellectual Property.

Justin has authored over 100 publications in the fields of science, engineering and patent law, including a
book chapter on patenting climate change mitigation technologies.
