Samantha is a member of the Chemical Process and Materials Engineering Group, where she is involved in
a range of patent matters including patent prosecution and patent drafting. Samantha’s nanotechnology
experience is diverse and incorporates physics, biotechnology, chemistry and materials science engineering.
Prior to joining Griffith Hack, Samantha worked in the petrochemical industry, gaining experience in a variety
of instrumental and processing techniques.

Description:

In addition to undertaking a degree focused on the rapidly emerging discipline of nanotechnology, Samantha
has completed a Diploma in Innovation Management, which highlights the important entrepreneurial aspects
of managing and commercialising intellectual property. Having represented the University of New South
Wales at a seminar in Singapore on Global Technology Commercialisation and won the 2004 AGSM
Connector Business Planning Competition, she has a strong understanding of the importance of intellectual
property protection in business environments both locally and internationally.
She is also currently completing a Masters in Industrial Property to complete her registration as an Australian
patent and trade mark attorney.
