Description:

Prior to joining Griffith Hack, Ian gained valuable experience in the drafting and prosecution of patents at
another patent and trade mark attorney firm. He has also been involved in filing and prosecuting trademark
and design applications. At Griffith Hack, Ian has been involved in patent drafting and prosecution in a wide
variety of fields including photonics, communication systems and business methods. He is currently
completing the requirements for registration as a Patent and Trade Mark Attorney.

Before entering the patent profession, Ian gained a broad range of knowledge from his multi-disciplinary
studies and further developed his communication skills through working as a teacher of physics. In addition,
Ian has experience with control systems and has conducted research in the field of medical physics. An
experienced sound engineer, Ian has also recorded, engineered and mixed music that has been distributed
worldwide.
