Phoebe has a background in science, and completed a major in genetics. She worked on a six month project in the Public Health Genetics Department of the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute assessing the effectiveness of pre-natal screening for genetic birth defects in Victoria, and assisted a well known academic write an article on animal and human stem cell developments in 2009.

Phoebe has had experience in enforcing and protecting different intellectual property rights, including patents, copyright, trade marks, designs and plant breeder’s rights. She has also had exposure to trade practices law and general commercial litigation.
While completing her studies, Phoebe worked at Griffith Hack as a paralegal before commencing her current role as a trainee lawyer. During her time at Griffith Hack, Phoebe has drafted advice relating to the commercialisation of intellectual property owned by both large and small clients, been involved in a number of commercial transactions involving licensing and assignments of intellectual property rights, and has had broad experience in preparing for litigation in the Federal Court.
