Description:

With extensive experience in anti-cancer research, Andrew is well versed in the technology of clients’
inventions. Andrew has drafted and prosecuted patent applications in a wide range of chemistry-related
fields, including inorganic and organic synthesis, polymers, pharmaceuticals and biochemistry. Andrew has
specific experience in technologies relating to flocculating polymers, electrochemical sensors, paints, coating compositions, dye sensitised solar cells and superconducting materials, to name but a few. Andrew joined Griffith Hack in 2001, and became a registered patent and trade mark attorney in 2004.

"I understand the effort that goes into research, and the need to protect the outcomes of that research.
Patents are an important part of rewarding those involved with that research, which in turn hopefully
promotes further research and development" says Andrew.

Andrew is involved in all aspects of the patent process, from drafting patent specifications to patent
prosecution and oppositions, for both Australian and overseas clients. He joined Griffith Hack in 2001, and
has been a registered patent attorney since 2004.

Andrew is an “e-tutor” for the course Drafting of Patent Specifications at the University of Technology,
Sydney. On a volunteer basis, Andrew is also involved with the Royal Australian Chemical Institute, and is
the Treasurer of the Industrial Chemistry Division and the New South Wales Industrial Chemistry Group
