“Identifying the commercial opportunities that intellectual property presents is a critical part of doing business in our age of innovation”

Tom is a lawyer who enjoys the challenge of uncovering the best ways businesses can apply their intellectual property and exercise their rights.

“I like coming up with solutions for clients and collaborating with them to think about ways they can maximise their IP rights to support their business objectives.”

With qualifications in commerce and law, Tom understands the commercial issues that affect clients.

Tom offers advice across a wide range of issues such as patent, trade mark and copyright infringements, misleading and deceptive conduct cases, commercial agreements, website terms and privacy policies.

Tom says working in IP is an exciting area of the law as it opens up opportunities to work with new technologies, processes and ideas.

Some of the sectors he has experience in include mechanical engineering, pesticides, construction products, consumer goods and advertising.
