Griffith Hack comprises the companies GH PTM Pty Ltd, GH Law Pty Ltd, Watermark Intellectual Property Pty Ltd and Watermark Intellectual Property Lawyers Pty Ltd, which are owned by IPH Limited, a public company that is the holding company for a number of intellectual property professional services and adjacent businesses operating under different brands across the Asia-Pacific region.
For the purposes of the Australian and New Zealand Code of Conduct for Trans-Tasman Patent and Trade Marks Attorneys 2018, GH PTM Pty Ltd and Watermark Intellectual Property Pty Ltd are incorporated registered patent and trade mark attorneys, and members of an ‘ownership group’ within the meaning of the Code.
The ownership group comprises GH PTM Pty Ltd, GH Law Pty Ltd, Watermark Intellectual Property Pty Ltd and Watermark Intellectual Property Lawyers Pty Ltd (all operating under the Griffith Hack brand in Australia)^, Pizzeys Patent and Trade Mark Attorneys Pty Ltd, Spruson & Ferguson Pty Limited, Spruson & Ferguson Lawyers Pty Ltd, AJ Park IP Limited (and affiliated company AJ Park Law Limited), Shelston IP Pty Ltd and Shelston IP Lawyers Pty Ltd. Additional incorporated patent and trade mark attorney entities operating as ‘Pizzeys’ and ‘Spruson & Ferguson’ form part of the IPH Ltd group outside Australia and New Zealand.
Information on all legal entities forming part of the IPH Limited group is available here. ^With effect from 4 May 2020 Watermark Intellectual Property Pty Ltd and Watermark Intellectual Property Lawyers Pty Ltd operate as part of the Griffith Hack business. From July 2020, Watermark Intellectual Property Pty Ltd and Watermark Intellectual Property Lawyers Pty Ltd will be fully integrated into GH PTM Pty Ltd and GH Law Pty Ltd.
Each of the IPH group professional services attorney businesses of Griffith Hack, Pizzeys, AJ Park, Spruson & Ferguson and Shelston IP operate independently from one another in the provision to clients of attorney professional services.*
