Griffith Hack will be hosting the KCA Sydney Networking Event at our Sydney Office on Wednesday 4 December. KCA is the non-profit peak body, leading best practice in industry engagement, technology transfer and entrepreneurship for research organisations. The evening will include a keynote address from Professor Thomas Millar “The story behind the transition from Professor to CEO”; and conclude with light refreshments

Special Guest Presenter
Professor Thomas Millar, Western Sydney University
Professor Millar has expertise in biochemistry, immunology and physical chemistry. He has been investigating the nature of the pre-ocular tear film for more than 20 years. In particular, he has focused on the structure and function of the lipid layer of the tear film and is a renowned internationally as expert in this area. He has developed models of the structure of the tear film lipid layer and how it interacts with proteins. Recently he pretends to be a businessman and is the CEO of Beyond 700, a start-up company with the world at its feet. Beyond 700 was a recipient of the NSW Health Medical Devices Fund in 2019.
