Congratulations to MedTech’s Got Talent finalists
6 December 2017
Griffith Hack congratulates the finalists of the MedTech’s Got Talent competition and looks forward to sharing with them the firm's expertise on intellectual property and how to protect it as part of their prize.
The finalists were named at a gala dinner where 13 teams pitched their innovative medtech concepts to a judging panel of industry executives, investors and sector influencers.
The finalists were:
- MUVi – UV sterilisation of hospital equipment
- Stelect – device for accurate stent size selection
- Navi Medical Technologies – improving successful placement of catheters in babies and children
- Cerebro Biosystems – targeted and timely prevention of sepsis
- Geldom – building the better feeling next-gen condom.
Griffith Hack is a strong supporter of Australia’s medical technology sector.
The firm sponsors the competition and delivers seminars on intellectual property, such as patents, trade marks and designs, for entrants as well as services to the finalists as part of their prize.
“The new medtech ideas we saw presented at the gala event were inspiring. It was energising watching the entrepreneurs pitch their next big thing,” Griffith Hack Principal Nadia Odorico said.
“We look forward to being part of the finalists’ IP journey as they progress through to the final stage of the competition and as they pursue development of their technologies.”
The finalists have now entered an intensive six-week training program ahead of a final presentation to investors in April 2018.
