Dr Andreas Hartmann announced 'Best IP Specialist' in Beaton Client Choice Awards
20 March 2020
Griffith Hack is proud to announce the recognition of Dr Andreas Hartmann in Beaton’s 2020 Client Choice Awards, as the industry’s ‘Best IP Specialist’.
The Beaton Client Choice Awards are based on interviews with clients and is the most comprehensive survey within the professional services industry. Clients rate firms and practitioners within those firms, in delivering services on a range of criteria including quality, value for money, price, and innovation.
Part of our Perth-based team, Andreas is an integral member of Griffith Hack’s Electrical, Physics and IT practice group. As a native German-speaker, he is also the firm’s International Business Development leader for Europe.
In relation to his approach to client care, Andreas highlights the importance of consistency and commerciality. “I see myself as part of the client’s internal team” Andreas explains, “it’s easy to overcomplicate things, but I try to focus on providing practical advice – keeping in mind the nature of the client and the purpose of their IP in commercial contexts”.
For those in earlier stages of their IP career, Andreas is quick to point attorneys back to basics often overlooked “personal contact is key. Pick up the phone, go to their place of business – don’t rely on an e-relationship” he says. “Responsiveness is clearly important, but so is being creative”.
With respect of Beaton’s ‘Best IP Specialist’ Award, Andreas responds in his typical modest fashion “it is a great honour…. to be recognised by clients in this way from amongst so many talented peers means a lot”.
Executive General Manager David Madigan affirmed Beaton’s decision. “Andreas is not just a brilliant technical operator, he understands how to help clients make the most of their IP position. Yes he’s an asset for our clients, but senior leaders like Andreas are also invaluable to our firm, because they create -learning and development opportunities for our future leaders”.
