With a background in physics and specific expertise in acoustics, Craig has prosecuted over 1,500 patent applications and drafted more than 100 patent specifications for leading local and international clients. 

Starting professional life as a Patent Examiner nearly 25 years ago, Craig developed a unique and thorough understanding of the inner workings of the IP system and the challenges faced by clients in securing IP rights.

Joining Watermark (now incorporated into Griffith Hack) in 2001, Craig has developed understanding across a diverse range of technologies including consumer products, locks, dentistry, medical devices, clean technology, building and construction products and packaging. Craig also has considerable experience conducting patent oppositions and providing validity and infringement opinions.

In order to build a complete picture of clients’ businesses and commercial objectives, Craig typically ask lots of questions which he believes is paramount to the provision of commercially valuable advice.

  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Applied Physics) - RMIT University
  • Registered Patent and Trade Mark Attorney (Australia and New Zealand)
