Dan is motivated, adaptable and thoughtful in his approach to best suit his clients’ needs and utilises his skills and experience to obtain positive outcomes.
Prior to his current position, Dan worked for nine years as a patent searcher and analyst in the UK, then at Watermark. As a searcher Dan gained a technical knowledge of the MedTech sector, including searches relating to blood glucose monitor devices. As a patent attorney, Dan has continued to hone his expertise in the MedTech sector working with many clients to assist in patent prosecution and drafting claims for new patent applications.
Dan excels at patent drafting and has shown a keen ability to understand inventions and draft specifications/claims which are differentiated over prior art. When prosecuting patent applications, Dan reviews examination reports and prior art documents, preparing responses to overcome objections; enabling clients’ patent applications to advance to grant, providing enforceable rights.
