Justin is a registered patent and trademarks attorney in both Australia and New Zealand with a technical background in biotechnology. He is involved in the early stage commercialisation of Intellectual Property Rights including drafting and prosecuting patent and registered design applications and advising on infringement and validity of patent and registered designs.
In addition, Justin works with clients preparing and prosecuting Plant Breeders Rights (PBR) applications in Australia and Plant Variety Rights applications in New Zealand. Justin is accredited by the PBR Office of IP Australia as a Consultant Qualified Person which enables him to conduct and comparative trials during examination of new plant varieties.
