Samin understands the many facets of the IP ecosystem better than most.  Having completed a clerkship with Griffith Hack prior to his admission, Samin returned as a Lawyer with a wealth of commercial and legal experience.

Samin has previously worked as a Judge’s Associate in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, where he was involved in several IP proceedings.  More recently, as a consultant within a “Big 4” accounting firm, Samin advised large national and multinational clients on the corporate tax and R&D tax aspects of innovative R&D projects across a range of industries.  Coupled with his science background, this experience allows Samin to comprehend clients’ technology, understanding their commercial needs and bring to clients an intimate knowledge of litigation in the federal jurisdiction.

Samin has broad experience in all classes of IP across both contentious and non-contentious matters, with a particular focus on patent disputes and anti-counterfeiting.  His appetite for exploring the finer, technical detail of clients’ IP is complemented by his commitment to delivering commercial and practical solutions that enable clients to further develop their innovative and creative edge.
