Dr Sophie Rankenberg is a patent attorney based in Perth.
After seven years of research experience in the field of Geosciences including Experimental Petrology, Sophie started her career path in intellectual property and registered as a patent attorney for Australia and New Zealand in January 2019.
Sophie has gained extensive experience in the prosecution of patent applications in the Physics and IT areas in Australia and New Zealand and has developed a keen interest and extensive experience in the prosecution of computer implemented inventions, addressing patentable subject matter issues in Australia and New Zealand in particular.
Sophie’s work also involves collaboration with foreign Associates to prosecute patent applications in countries such as Europe, the USA, Canada, India, China, and Japan.
